ADSL 2, the new generation of DSL connections, will soon be available in a number of locations throughout Italy within the next few months. In a recent interview Andrea Podda, Technical Director of Tiscali, announced that new DSL profiles will be available by the end of this year and reach 12 Mbps. All other major ISPs are prepared to introduce ADSL 2 as alternative networks in direct competition expand throughout Italy.
